Scott Calvin has been Santa for eight years but he has just read the small print in his contract and has discovered that he needs a wife, without which he will lose his job! Santa comes back to earth to find a bride and also help his son who is on the `naughty list', leaving a replacement to fill in, although his idea of how things ought to be run are slightly different from the real Santa's.
