Amy Lee

Born in California as the oldest of five siblings, Amy Lee showed interest in music early on, taking piano lessons from childhood as a way to express her feelings. Originally intending to focus on film scoring and composing, she eventually became more comfortable in making her own music. She met guitarist Ben Moody at age 13 and, a year later, they co-founded Evanescence, the band that would catapult Lee to stardom. They spent teenage years refining their sound by making EPs and doing live gigs, and released their debut album, "Fallen" (2003). Moody left the band that same year, but that did not stop the rise of Evanescence. After releasing two more albums, the band left their label and Lee was able to focus on solo projects, such as film scoring. The musician went on to work on the music for the movies such as "War Story" (2014), "Blind" (2016) and "Voice from the Stone" (2017). She has since put out two more Evanescence albums, a family album for children and has been featured in several songs from other popular artists.
