Former star baseball player Kenny Powers returns to his hometown but instantly finds that he's not as respected as he once was. Training to return to the pros, Kenny becomes a full time gym teacher for the meantime.

Kenny Powers resurrects his baseball career in Myrtle Beach with catcher and party pal Shane, while a detour to Shelby to attend the one-year birthday of his son Toby reunites Kenny with April.

Kenny tries to become the spokesman for a luxury car dealer. After an embarrassing scene at the car dealership, Kenny appears with his driver at a school dance and declares his love for April while high on ecstasy.

Kenny Powers is now a family man with a wife, April, two little kids, and a home in the suburbs, but a night out with a former teammate and current TV star has him yearning to get back in the limelight.

After Kenny sets Stevie up to take the rap for his own alcohol-fuelled car crash, Kenny hires Stevie as his assistant. Kenny then has Cassie sell his memorabilia on eBay and begins training and using steroids again.

Kenny resurfaces in Mexico under an alias and with a passion for cockfighting but draws the attention of a baseball manager who wonders if Kenny Powers can still pitch.
