Bre-Z

Calesha Murray, known professionally as Bre-Z, was born in Philadelphia, PA and raised in Wilmington, DE. Born into a family of barbers, Murray herself would go on to pick up the trade during childhood before solidifying her career as a musician and actor. During her teen years, Murray developed an interest in writing and performing rap music, and began investing in professional recordings of her own songs. Upon moving to Los Angeles, she fostered this passion by starting work as a celebrity hair stylist and cultivating relationships with musicians like Ludacris and Akon. In 2015, Murray made her acting debut with a role on the drama series "Empire" (Fox 2015-), for which she also contributed music. From there, Murray went on to star in the comedy film "Fat Camp" (2017) alongside Vivica A. Fox and "Saturday Night Live" (NBC 1975-) cast member Chris Redd, and was cast in the drama television series "All American" (The CW 2018-), focusing on a teen athlete from a working class neighborhood recruited to play for a football team at a wealthy high school.
