As David's fears take over, Keith tries to protect him and the boys. Visions of Nate compel Brenda to make a decision about her relationship with Billy. Claire's grief causes her to start drinking heavily, and Frederico pushes for a talk about the business.

David and Keith struggle to create boundaries for their new sons. Brenda and Nate receive some ambiguous news while Ruth fills her schedule with activities.

A man, found stabbed in an alley, turns out to be Nicholas, the vagrant who was being protected at the station.
