Dimitri Vegas

Alongside his brother, Like Mike, Dimitri Vegas became synonymous with the explosion of EDM, embracing electro house, hardstyle, trap, and pop into an infectious mix of anthemic dancefloor-friendly club smashes such as 2019's "Instagram" and 2017's "Complicated." Born in the Belgium town of Willebroek, Vegas (aka Dimitri Thivaios) started making a name for himself DJing alongside his brother at local club nights, earning themselves a residency on radio before finding themselves playing clubs around Europe. Debuting in 2009 with the single "Liquid Skies" under the pseudonym DNM, Vegas and his brother, Like Mike, quickly became sort after. Their first foray into the charts followed the following year, with their anthem for the 2010 edition of Tomorrowland, "Tomorrow (Give into the Night)" peaking at number 16 on the Belgium charts. The duo continued their success with release after release, teaming up with the likes of Moguai, Ummet Ozcan, Ne-Yo, and Diplo. 2014 saw Vegas and his brother team up with American DJ, Steve Aoki under the moniker, 3 Are Legend, performing at some of the world's biggest EDM festivals. More singles followed including 2017's massive hit, "Complicated" and 2019's even bigger "Instagram", which saw Vegas join forces with his brother, Daddy Yankee, David Guetta, Afro Bros, and Natti Natasha. By the end of 2020, Vegas and his brother had released nearly 17 singles in one year, including their first foray into Christmas themed music, with covers of Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas" and the Christmas standard "Santa Claus Is Coming to Town." ~ Rich Wilson, Rovi
