When the heat repeatedly goes out in Melinda's house and antique shop, she starts getting strange visits from the spirits of an airline pilot and flight attendant who complain of being cold. Initially Melinda has trouble understanding the messages they are trying to communicate, but she eventually figures out that they are trying to warn her about a jetliner that has lost cabin pressure and is going to crash.

John takes drastic measures to try to save Hicks while being confronted with demons from his past. Sammy's lie about the tape weighs heavily on his conscience.

Lydia gets suspended from duty and bonds with an injured witness. A high-speed chase haunts Chickie, and John tries to clean up a neighborhood.

John thinks about life after the LAPD. Lydia connects with a man she sent to Death Row. And Sammy becomes a tabloid celebrity after a very public act of heroism.
