Barney hires a stripper for Marshall's stag do and Robin goes to Lily's bridal shower but finds her gift is out of place.

Ted invites Robin to be his date at a friend's wedding, but it turns out he didn't request a guest place. Unfortunately, Robin is so excited he asked her that Ted can't bring himself to tell her she's not invited, so has to find a way to get her on the guest list.

Having gone to Claudia and Stuart's wedding alone, Ted meets the girl of his dreams but doesn't get her name. He does everything he can to try and find her, but without her proper name it's beginning to look like he'll never see her again.

Marshall and Lily try to figure out how to conceive a baby with the gender of their choice. Meanwhile, Robin's perky new co-anchor irritates her.

This season takes place over the course of Barney and Robin’s wedding weekend, when the lives of the gang change dramatically

Ted and Victoria must choose the next step in their relationship and Robin is hesitant to break up with Nick, Barney takes matters into his own hands
