Petra Costa

Ana Petra Costa is a Brazilian filmmaker, screenwriter, producer, and narrator, and a co-founder of the production company Busca Vida Filmes. She was nominated for an Academy Award, an Emmy Award, and a BAFTA Award. Petra is internationally recognized for her hybrid, essayistic approach, in which intimate themes such as grief, memory, trauma, and identity intertwine with historical events and contemporary political tensions.
