Robin is excited to hear that she'll be working with legendary newsman Don Frank but is soon disappointed to find out that he isn't as professional as she thought he'd be and seems set on taking Robin down with him. Elsewhere, the friends reveal that they are all former smokers and all become addicted to cigarettes again.

Marshall begins his new job at Barney's law firm and quickly finds that Barney's colleagues are crude, obnoxious and laddish, mocking everything from his packed lunch to his fiancée. However, he doesn't want to give up, and learns to adapt.
