Accused of murder, Nell Jackson finds herself forced to live on plunder and expedients with her two sisters. Helped by a brave spirit named Billy Blind, she realises that fate has not led her astray by chance as she navigates war-torn Europe.

On the run with Rasselas, Roxy and George, Nell decides to take up highway robbery, stealing from the rich to survive. As her sisters miss Tottenham, Nell assures them she has a plan to keep them safe.

A Private Joke With the Queen
Nell confronts the terrifying Herne the Hunter, whose supernatural strength forces her to see the limits of her abilities. The group narrowly escapes, but George is seriously injured. They hide in an abandoned cottage.

Devil's Dung
Nell disguises herself as a Scottish noblewoman to find help for George and brings an old doctor back to the cottage. Left alone with George, whose condition is worsening, Roxy discovers that she could use her new-found magical intuition to help him.
EPISODE 5
Excuse Me, I'm a Doctor
Nell leaves Roxy and George at their Uncle Jack's inn to protect them while she and Rasselas travel to London with a plan to rescue Devereux from prison. An emergency in the prison gives Nell the opportunity to break in.
EPISODE 6
Snatched by Strollers
George is kidnapped, along with Polly Honeycombe, by travelling comedians who want to use them as bait to catch the infamous Nell Jackson. Unaware of all this, Nell and Billy celebrate their heroism at Newgate.
