Pirate Sandokan boards a ship to steal its cargo and frees a Dayak slave who believes him to be the prophesied liberator. In Labuan, he crosses paths with the British Consul's daughter and faces enemies determined to stop him.

Sandokan and Brooke attend the British Consul's daughter Marianne's birthday party while the pirates languish in prison. Tension simmers between the three, but Sandokan must first free Yanez and his crew without blowing his cover.

As Sandokan heads to plunder the Sultan's antimony mines, Brooke pursues him with Sergeant Murray. Meanwhile, Marianne's nightmare begins to shift as she witnesses the horrors inflicted by the British in the occupied territories.

Sandokan and his men take refuge in Singapore, followed by Brooke and Murray. During the Lunar New Year, Marianne sees a different side of Sandokan and begins to truly get to know him. But events soon take a dangerous turn.
