Simon is shooting a movie about some workers' struggle to save their factory. But between his producer's scheming, the self-absorbed actors, and cranky technicians, he soon finds himself in over his head. Left to fend for himself by his investors, Simon faces labor disputes with his own crew. His only ally on this nightmare of a shoot is the young extra to whom he has entrusted the movie's behind-the-scenes making-of.
