Джесс Глінн
Soulful singer-songwriter Jess Glynne first found fame as the lead vocalist of Clean Bandit's Grammy-winning chart-topper "Rather Be" before launching a solo career that proved to be equally successful. Born in Hampstead, London to an estate agent father and record label A&R mother, Glynne spent her early career working for a music management company but began to pursue a performing career herself following a year-long music course in which she met future collaborators Jin Jin and Bless Beats. In 2013, she was invited to provide the lead vocal on deep house producer Route 94's "My Love," and on hearing the result, classical-electro quartet Clean Bandit also asked her to do the same on "Rather Be." Released in 2014, the track spent four weeks at pole position in the UK, reached the US Top 10 and later won a Grammy for Best Dance Recording, and was followed by a second hit collaboration, "Real Love," later the same year. Glynne launched her solo career proper with the Gorgon City-produced "Right Here" before scoring a UK number one of her own in 2015 with "Hold My Hand." Glynne's winning streak continued when Tinie Tempah duet "No Letting Go" and "Don't Be So Hard on Yourself" took her tally of UK chart-toppers to five, equalling Cheryl Cole's record for a female solo artist, with debut album, I Cry When I Laugh, also repeating the same feat.
