Born in Edmonton, Canada, Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman always knew he was destined for a career in entertainment. He landed his first modeling contract at age 16, and immediately took to the globe-trotting lifestyle that his new career afforded. Within a few years. Bowyer-Chapman had the opportunity to expand into acting when a director approached him in a restaurant and, based on his looks alone, offered Bowyer-Chapman the chance to read for a role in an upcoming film. This led to the burgeoning actor's first feature film role in the thriller "Shock to the System" (2006), which he quickly followed up with a number of guest appearances, including a small role on an episode of "Noah's Arc" (Logo, 2005-2006). He would go on to appear in "The Break-Up Artist" (2008) before joining the cast of the Syfy series "SGU Stargate Universe" (Syfy, 2009-2011) the following year. Additional roles followed, including an appearance in the independent dramedy "The Skinny" (2012) before Bowyer-Chapman landed the role of Jay on the series "UnREAL" (Lifetime, 2015-). Though the part was originally conceived as a straight womanizer, the energy that Bowyer-Chapman brought to the character prompted them to change his sexual orientation, though without any major plot points hinging on his romantic life.
