Джеффри Палмер

Джеффри Палмер

British character actor Geoffrey Palmer began his professional career as a stage actor following World War II. Typecast as a particular sort of grumpy suburbanite throughout his career, Palmer gained widespread notice with roles in two iconic British sitcoms of the 1970s, the middle-class satire "The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin" and the slightly melancholy romantic comedy "Butterflies." Later in life, he starred opposite Judi Dench in the long-running and critically acclaimed sitcom "As Time Goes By"; Palmer and Dench also were part of the same cast in several films, including the historical drama "Mrs. Brown" and the James Bond adventure ("Tomorrow Never Dies"). Geoffrey Palmer died on November 5, 2020 at the age of 93.
