Diêm Camille is an Ivorian actress, screenwriter and director. Born in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, she moved permanently to Denmark with her father at the age of five. After graduating from Copenhagen Business School, she immersed herself in film, until she was cast in her first role in the TV series "Warrior" (Miso Film/TV2 Danmark). In 2019, Camille starred in her first short film, "Doll," which she also wrote and directed. "Doll" was well received and won five awards, including for Best Actress. From 2020 to 2022, Camille played Lina in the hit TV2 crime series "The Sommerdahl Murders" (Sequoia Global Alliance). Other notable screen credits include her roles as Sister Martha in "The Great Silence" (2022), as Alyona in the series "Alex Rider" (Amazon Prime/IMDb/Freevee, 2020-21, 2024), as Tsutama Rath in "The Wheel of Time" (Amazon Prime, 2021-) and as Esi in the Hulu series "Washington Black" (2025-). Most recently, Camille has been instrumental to the growing success of the science fiction horror series "Alien: Earth" (FX, 2025-). Camille was nominated for Best Actress and Best Short-Format TV Series at the Danish Academy Awards 2023, for "Bad Bitch," which she created, wrote and played Nikki, the lead role. This marked her first Danish TV show that won her multiple awards.
