Mo-Gae discovers that his son, Gil-Dong, is baby Hercules; Mo-Gae decides that in order to protect his family, he must become a slave outlaw; he goes out and sells Cho's things to turn a profit.

Mo-Gae, who has become a slave outlaw, works with others in order to obtain a status change for himself and his family; Mo-Gae's master, Cho and his wife call their uncle for help in stealing Mo-Gae's hidden treasures.

Geum-ok dies after giving birth; Mo-gae is arrested for the suspicion of killing his master; Gil-dong is sent off on a suicide errand by Lady Cho to prove he's baby Hercules.

As a free man, Mo-Gae decides to make Ikhwari his new home; Mo-Gae and his men decide to trade with the Ming Dynasty when they are ambushed by sea pirates; he decides it is time to make the magistrate one of his own.

Twelve years pass on and Gil-Dong comes to be known as the magical merchant, who teaches the art of seduction; Mo-Gae, a prominent gangster in Ikhwari, is approached by a different gang member who wants Mo-Gae to join him in human trafficking.

Mo Gae has been framed for the murder of one of Prince Chungwon's girls; Prince Chungwon also finds out about Mo Gae and his slave past; Gil Dong is being chased by Heo's gang.
