Moo Myung has been leading a liberal life in a poor neighborhood without a name or parents; to help his precious friend find his family, Moo Myung enters the capital city, which is strictly prohibited.

Moo Myung courageously knocks the aristocrats' sons and saves Mak Moon; Hwa Gong joins hands with Ji So in establishing Hwarang.

During a duel with Moo Myung, Sam Maek Jong drops his bracelet and a piece of his cloth; A Ro tells Hwa Gong about the young men in the palace.

Sam Maek Jong is attracted to A Ro and starts to look for her; Moo Myung learns the Korean alphabet from A Ro, and the two fall in love; Moo Myung decides to join Hwarang and change his name to Sun Woo for A Ro.

The first Hwarang appointment ceremony is held; unlike Su Ho and his friends, who are excited, Ban Ryu has a long face; Sun Woo struggles to save A Ro when Do Go kidnaps her; Sam Maek Jong appears in the ceremony, surprising the Empress Dowager.
