Major Anton Amosov lives in the capital, works in the FSO and confidently climbs the career ladder. He has a beautiful wife and an almost adult daughter. But there are constant conflicts in the family. Amosov's wife filed for divorce. At the new / old place of service Amosov is met by Colonel Polozkov, under whom Amosov worked in the old days.

Lena sees the secret signs that Granny warned her about. Amosov and Bychkov inspect the apartment of the murdered man, Kiselev, and try to find traces of the crime. The lieutenant is trying to find the easiest way - to invite the seer Elena. Amosov categorically rejects the idea of a partner - they must solve the crime themselves.

Kulikova instructs Amosov to register the body of a homeless person found at a dump. Chernyaev suspects that the "love date" with the psychic in his office happened for a reason - Amosov was trying to find out something connected with the death of his brother.

Amosov, meets the waiter, whom Lena identified as the killer of his brother. He manages to get his fingerprints and give them to the laboratory. The director of the restaurant calls Amosov and says that the waiter has asked for leave and left. Amosov offers to help and resolve the issue with Polozkov, and in return asks Lena to go to the waiter's apartment together.

The entire police unit was sent to search for Alena, the granddaughter of Polozkov and her friend Polina. Amosov has his own version - since the kidnappers did not appear and did not put forward demands, the girls simply got lost and cannot call. Amosov and Bychkov find Alena and Polina.

Amosov and Bychkov investigate the theft in the house of an elderly lady posing as a socialite. Expert Leonid helps them. The woman lost her jewelry. There is one oddity in the robbery - for some reason the thief did not touch a large amount of money that lay next to the jewelry. Pasha is arrested and locked up in a monkey house, on the direct orders of Kulikova.
