Yoon-kang is skeptical of Soo-in, but out of his interest in her, he helps Soo-in, who is doing everything she can to deliver her teacher's book to Master Oh-kyung.

Yoon-Kang and Soo-In go through difficult and life-threatening moments together, and have mixed feelings; Soo-In asks Yoon-Kang out on a nightly walk.

Yoon-Kang and Jin-Han fight against the gunmen to save Yeon-Ha; Kim Byung-je tries to charge Jin-Han with treason to convince the emperor against enlightenment.

Yoon-kang is back in Joseon, and people are stunned to see him come back alive after thinking he is dead; the man is not Yoon-kang but Han-jo, who looks and acts Japanese from head to toe, visiting Joseon as a merchant.

Soo-in recognizes Yoon-kang; Yoon-kang tries to prove Soo-in wrong; Yoon-kang encounters Kim Moo-duk, the gunman.
