A Date With the Future

When an earthquake happens and Xu Lai is stuck under the debris for a day, she is saved by the firefighter, Jin Shi Chuan; upon regaining consciousness, Lai forged a pact with Shi Chuan, vowing to seek him out a decade later.

To get close to Jin Shi Chuan, Xu Lai volunteers to film a TV special about the Special Service Brigade; Shi Chuan maintains indifferent throughout their interactions, while Lai refuses to ease off.

Jin Shi Chuan finds a report about his participation in an earthquake rescue ten years ago; Jin Shi Chuan is curious about Xu Lai's identity.

Shichuan insists on staying on-site, escorting each injured team member into ambulances; Lai forcefully drags him into Yan Zong's car to take him to the hospital; Yan Zong learns that Shichuan is the person Lai has been searching for.

Xu Lai publishes a special report about the fire in the old residential area; after revisiting the site, she discovers that Shichuan had selflessly dedicated his time to visiting and assisting older adults.
