Having been hand selected by the judges, 17 brand new talented home cooks arrive at the MasterChef kitchen for the very first time.

For the challenge contestants will have 75 minutes to create a dish using at least one of the cereals from today’s Mystery Box.

Today’s cooks will face a two-round challenge. The first round sees the contestants having to choose one of three ingredients that the judges loved during their childhood.

It’s Mystery Box day, and upon arrival, our home cooks are greeted by an enormous Mystery Box, the biggest ever in MasterChef history, marking the start of Big Week.

It’s the first immunity cook of the season. Four cooks are vying for the chance to be immune from Sunday’s first all-in elimination cook.

Contestants have 45 minutes on Day 1 to prepare elements of their dish and leave them overnight for 14 hours. They then have 60 minutes on Day 2 to finish their dish.
