Ashton Holmes
An actor with a distinctive mop of curly red-brown hair, Ashton Holmes grew up in Albany, New York, where he studied acting and music. After moving to Hollywood, Holmes won a role on the daytime soap opera "One Live to Live" that lasted from 2002 to 2003. From this, he was able to gain guest spots on TV dramas "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" and "Cold Case." Holmes' big break, however, came in 2005 when he appeared in David Cronenberg's tense thriller "A History of Violence." Holmes played Jack Stall, the son of Tom (Viggo Mortensen), who starts to become affected by his father's mysterious past. This performance helped Holmes gain parts in more films, such as the 2007 horror thriller "Wind Chill," which co-starred Emily Blunt, and the 2008 ensemble comedy "Smart People," with Dennis Quaid, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Ellen Page. Simultaneously, Holmes was also forging a strong list of television work. In addition to guest spots on many popular shows, Holmes also had regular roles on the legal drama "Boston Legal," the action drama "Nikita," and the critically acclaimed World War II mini-series "The Pacific." In 2011, Holmes appeared in the popular TV suspense drama "Revenge" as Tyler Barrol, whose roommate (Joshua Bowman) is engaged to the main character, Emily (Emily VanCamp).
