Having been hand selected by the judges, 17 brand new talented home cooks arrive at the MasterChef kitchen for the very first time.

It’s a white apron day in the MasterChef kitchen, and today, the winner of Round 1 will cook against a professional chef in Round 2 for the chance to win an immunity pin.

It’s Nostalgia week and our three contestants walk in to a Pressure Test set by Gelato Messina’s Donato Toce.

The judges reveal that today will be a marathon, not a sprint, as the three cooks will have five hours on the clock to compete the dish.

At the end of today, one of the two chefs will have won $250,000 and earnt the title of MasterChef Australia 2023.

The judges reveal that in round one, the contestants will have 60 minutes to make a dish with a sound to make the judges salivate.
