Colin Ford

A native of Nashville, TN, Ford entered the child-actor arena in earnest at age 5 with a small role in the Reese Witherspoon comedy "Sweet Home Alabama." More screen appearances followed, with Ford notably featured in an episode of the long-running teen-hero drama "Smallville" and the cumbersomely titled fantasy feature "In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale" (2006), where he played the son of Jason Statham's sword-wielding protagonist. The following year, Ford made his first "Supernatural" appearance, and also co-starred in the little-seen drama "Dog Days of Summer," featuring character actor Will Patton. Often cast as the young counterpart of a key character, Ford was featured as a youthful version of Chris Evans' super-powered fugitive Nick in the sci-fi/action movie "Push" (2009), and he nabbed the lead as the giant-battling Jack in an overlooked take on "Jack and the Beanstalk" (2010). Expanding his repertoire to include animated productions, Ford lent his voice to "Family Guy" and "Jake and the Never Land Pirates," portraying the adventurous title character of the latter kid-friendly series. In late 2011 he had a major supporting role in Cameron Crowe's "We Bought a Zoo" as Dylan, the teen son of widower Benjamin Mee (Matt Damon), who is not thrilled to move to an animal park with his father and young sister. Two years later, Ford furthered his screen career as part of the ensemble cast of "Under the Dome" (CBS, 2013-15), a TV series based on the wall-off-from-the-world premise of Stephen King's popular novel.
