Lela Loren

Actress Lela Loren paid her dues with guest parts on over a dozen hit shows before landing her much-deserved first lead role as federal agent Angela Valdes in the gritty crime drama "Power" (Starz, 2014-). Born in Sacramento, CA, Loren made her acting debut playing the Mexican immigrant muse of a successful French novelist in "Between the Lines" (2006), and following one-off appearances in "Cold Case" (CBS, 2003-2010) and "CSI: Miami" (CBS, 2002-2012), she graced the big screen again as a dental hygienist in post-9/11 drama "Reign Over Me" (2007). Later that year Loren enjoyed a three-episode stint as Guardo's girlfriend Nydia in "The Shield" (FX, 2002-08) and went on to guest on "The Ghost Whisperer" (CBS, 2005-2010) and "Chuck" (NBC, 2007-2012) before showing up as Jacob's biological mother in one of the final episodes of TV phenomenon "Lost" (ABC, 2004-2010). In between appearing alongside former WWE wrestlers John Cena and The Rock in "The Reunion" (2011) and "Snitch" (2013) respectively, Loren added cameos on "The Mentalist" (CBS, 2008-2015), "The Closer" (TNT, 2005-2012) and "Covert Affairs" (USA Network, 2010-2014) to her resume, and also played Francesca Rossi for 11 episodes of Bryan Singer's futuristic sci-fi web series "H+: The Digital Series" (YouTube, 2012-13). Following a small part in "The Hangover Part III" (2013), Loren appeared as a stalking victim in TV movie "Whisper of Fear "(2013) and Jay Hernandez's fiancee Silvia in short-lived LAPD drama "Gang Related" (Fox, 2014). Loren landed the biggest role of her career later that year when she was cast as Angela Valdes, the AUSA agent unaware that her lover is in fact the drug dealer she's been hired to track down, in the 50 Cent-produced drama "Power" (Starz, 2014-).
