Melissa Manchester

Melissa Manchester worked on a variety of projects during her entertainment career. Manchester began her entertainment career with her music featured in films like the romance "Ice Castles" (1978) with Robby Benson, "The Promise" (1979) with Kathleen Quinlan and the comedy "A Little Sex" (1981) with Tim Matheson. Her music also appeared in the Lance Guest action flick "The Last Starfighter" (1984). In the eighties, Manchester devoted her time to various credits, such as "Super Dave" "Ooh-La-La -- It's Bob Hope's Fun Birthday Spectacular From Paris' Bicentennial" (NBC, 1988-89) and "Our Common Future" (1988-89). She also worked on "The Songwriters Hall of Fame 20th Anniversary... The Magic of Music" (CBS, 1988-89). Manchester's music was also a part of the Gabriel Damon animated adventure "Little Nemo: Adventures in Slumberland" (1992), the Ben Affleck dramatic comedy "200 Cigarettes" (1999) and the Kirsten Dunst crime feature "Drop Dead Gorgeous" (1999). Her music was also featured in the Scott Wolf animated adventure "Lady and the Tramp II: Scamp's Adventure" (2000) and the Cameron Diaz blockbuster action picture "Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle" (2003). Manchester most recently appeared on "American Masters: Marvin Hamlisch: The Way He Was" (PBS, 2013-14).
