Pushpavalli

Smitten after a chance encounter with the charming Nikhil Rao at a food conference, Pushpavalli Parasuraman decides to move from Bhopal to Bangalore to pursue him. Her overbearing mother reluctantly agrees to let her go, after Pushpavalli convinces her that she is moving because of a job. Pushpavalli finds an unlikely ally who promises to give her information regarding Nikhil's whereabouts in exchange for client data from the children's library.

Vasu threatens to throw Pushpavalli out of the hostel if she doesn't pay her deposit by the end of the day.

Vasu agrees to let Pushpavalli begin cooking breakfast for the PG every morning, after continually not being able to pay her deposit. Pushpavalli's mother tells her that a Brahmin boy from America has shown interest in her and coerces her into agreeing to talk to him. Pushpavalli notices that Pankaj is unusually happy and finds out that he has a date with a girl he met at his cycling group. T-boi borrows Nikhil's phone and brings it to Pushpavalli, who finds out he is attending a wine tasting.

Pushpavalli is coerced into meeting her mother's guru who is in Bangalore. She bumps into Nikhil and his mother at the ashram and is embarrassed.

Pushpavalli's feelings for Nikhil increase, but she is unsure about his thoughts. She decides to take him to a stand-up comedy show where she hopes that the comedian will tease them as a couple and elicit a response from Nikhil.

With all their cycles synchronised, it's that time of the month for everyone at the hostel. As a result, Pushpavalli has exiled herself from the kitchen, much to Vasu's annoyance.
