Nate Bargatze

Funny man Nate Bargatze was born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee, where his father was a former clown turned magician. He began his stand-up journey in Chicago, then, after working the clubs there for a short time, made the transformative move to New York City. In 2008, Bargatze made his first late night TV appearances on "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" (NBC, 1993-2014). Marc Maron saw his set at Laughfest in 2012 and the two hit it off. Maron tweeted about Bargatze and the young comedian did his first episode of Maron's influential podcast "WTF" that same year. That exposure gave him credibility with an entirely new audience to Bargatze's standup sets and brought him to the attention to a new set of stand-up clubs. In 2013 he made his first appearance on "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" (NBC, 2009-2014), and the following year made his first appearance on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" (NBC, 2014-). Fallon also mentored Bargatze, acting as a producer on Bargatze's first pilot pitch; although the pilot, based on Bargatze's life and stand-up, was purchased by NBC, the series was not picked up. Bargatze's first full-hour stand-up special, "Nate Bargatze: Full Time Magic," premiered on Comedy Central in 2015.
