At the young age of nine, Xiao Yan (Leo Wu) was powerless to intervene when his mother was killed, and despite his best efforts, Xiao Yan’s martial arts abilities didn't develop as his family had hoped. But all that changes when he accidentally summons the Medicine Lord, Yao Chen (Baron Chen), with his mother’s ring when he is 15. With the help of Yao Chen, Xiao Yan becomes a great martial artist who is intent on bringing his mother’s killer to justice. Accompanied by his loyal companion Xiao Xun'er (Lin Yun), he embarks on a dangerous quest to confront the evil forces responsible for his mother's death and restore peace to the martial arts world. This is a 2018 Chinese martial arts drama series based on the novel of the same name by Tian Can Tu Dou, directed by Yu Rong Guang.
