After years in Japan, Jang Mi Ri returns to Korea determined to find her long-lost mother. She lives in a gosiwon and works a series of menial jobs until Jang Myung Hoon gives her a job at his hotel.

Mi Ri tells an escalating series of lies in order to stay in Korea. Yoo Hyun, grandson of the president of Mondo Resorts, arrives to look over Hotel A. Hye Jung obtains a job as a maid in the very same hotel her father designed.

Miri comments that Hee-joo’s always had good luck, such as being adopted well — if she hadn’t been sick that day, it would’ve been Hee-joo who would’ve been adopted to Japan.
