While adjusting to her unwanted transfer to a weekly tabloid, young reporter Hinako receives a phone call offering a scoop about a popular idol group.

Posing as a high school student, Hinako assists with an investigation. Subsequently, she travels to Niigata for a mission, but finds herself in a troublesome situation.

Hoping for a scoop, Hinako and Suzaki conduct a stakeout. However, an inexperienced Hinako soon blows their cover by making contact with the target.

While investigating an embezzlement case, Hinako fights both her fears and her exhaustion to conduct a late-night stake out at a cemetery.

After seeking advice from her colleagues about potential article topics, Hinako follows a lead about an actor she has interviewed in the past.

While preparing for her interview with Aoshiro, Hinako realizes that Kitahama is acting strangely and starts to suspect he is hiding something.
