Third Prince Pang Yu (Tan Jian Ci) and Minister Feng Xi (Jin Han) are lifelong friends with a bond stronger than brotherhood. Their relationship is tested when Dong Yue (Sun Yi), a brave time-traveling general, enters their lives during the Dingyuan Rebellion. While Pang Yu is inspired politically by Dong Yue, Feng Xi captures her heart with his roguish charm. Dong Yue's primary mission is to prevent a devastating war led by the villainous Lu Yuan Tang (Zhang Zhi Jian), which threatens to tear the nation apart.
