S1, E2: Liang Renjie initially suspects the validity of the clues provided by the mysterious APP. However, the informant loses his life as a direct result of his disobedience of CODE’s orders. Even the clues related to his girlfriend’s death stop coming in, which makes him reconsider the reliability of CODE. It seems that CODE can read his mind. Out of the blue, the APP provides Renjie with perfectly timed insider information that leads to breakthroughs in unsolved cases. He therefore lowers his guard and carries out the orders given by CODE. He cannot resist the magic temptation of the mysterious APP and is being gradually drawn in.
