Host Guy Fieri kicks off the biggest and most intense competition in the culinary world; top-scoring chefs from last year are back, and a handful of newcomers with the potential to win it all are stepping into the arena for the first time.

Eight chefs remain, and the competitors who win their intense head-to-head battle by successfully dealing with the randomizer and satisfying the taste buds of a panel of TOC champs will earn a spot in Tournament of Champions VI.

Twelve hopeful chefs remain as the qualifier rounds continue with two more one-on-one battles; the chef who can win over a panel of champs in a blind taste test gets the opportunity to compete in the main tournament.

There are new names and a randomizer twist; 32 chefs battle it out for the belt and $100,000; Guy Fieri reveals the seeds and matchups before the first eight chefs start round one with four one-on-one sudden death battles.

In the final four battles of the first round, Guy Fieri welcomes Chopped judge Amanda Freitag to face off against qualifier winner Carlos Anthony; in the last battle of the round, qualifier winner David Viana takes on former finalist Tobias Dorzon.
