Wendy Makkena

Wendy Makkena was an actress with a strong presence in film throughout her Hollywood career. In 1989, she acted in the Broadway farce "Lend Me a Tenor." She danced with the New York City Ballet. In 1996, she co-starred with Dianne Wiest in the Off-Broadway production "The Shawl." In 2000, she had a featured role in the ABC fall sitcom "The Geena Davis Show." Known for making audiences laugh, Makkena began her acting career in comedies like the Whoopi Goldberg hit "Sister Act" (1992), "Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit" (1993) starring Whoopi Goldberg and the Jonathan Jackson film "Camp Nowhere" (1994). She also appeared in "Air Bud" (1997). She worked in series television while getting her start in acting, including a part on "Law & Order" (NBC, 1990-2010). She continued to act in productions like "4am - Open All Night" (1999) with Tate Donovan and "Finding North" (1999). Recently, she tackled roles on "Listen Up" (2004-05), "The Ghost Whisperer" (CBS, 2005-2010) and "The Nine" (ABC, 2006-07). Most recently, Makkena acted on "The Last O.G." (TBS, 2017-). Makkena's husband was Bob Krakower.
