Reiji opens Kirio Drugstore for another day of business; together with wolf girl Noela and Mina the ghost, he's enjoying a slow-paced life when he encounters a young man being chased by a girl wielding a knife; he begs Reiji for help, and Reiji somehow manages to calm the girl down.

Mina is delighted by how detergent makes dishes magically clean; Reiji takes some of his dishwashing detergent to Rena at the nearby tavern, but he's accosted by the Red Cat Brigade who protect the town.

Reiji Kirio is a corporate wage slave, who did nothing but work all day, every day; on a typical day of walking to work with a hollow look on his face, he suddenly finds himself in the forest of another world.

Reiji and Noela go to buy lunch at the nearby Rabbit Tavern; Noela loves the Rabbit Tavern's food and is excited to eat.

As the town prepares for the Kalta Festival, Ririka the elf comes to Kirio Drugstore; she asks for a potion that will grant her enough archery skill to best her brother Kururu in the Hunting festival event, so he'll stop treating her like a child.

When Noela accidentally breaks all of Kirio Drugstore's knives with her incredible strength, she and Reiji go to Paula's toolshop for replacements; seeing Paula overwhelmed with work orders, Reiji decides he'll try to do something to help.
