Jonathan Cake

Jonathan Cake was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. In 2002, he won the prestigious Barclays Best Actor Award for the stage adaptation of Tennessee Williams' film, "Baby Doll." In 1998, he portrayed the title role in the TV biopic "Mosley" (ITV). Cake's acting career began mostly with his roles in various films, such as "First Knight" (1995), the Johan Leysen dramatic adaptation "True Blue" (1998) and "Honest" (2000). He also was featured in the miniseries "A Dance to the Music of Time" (1997-98). He appeared in a number of television specials, including "Rebecca" (PBS, 1996-97) and "Cold Lazarus" (1996-97). He kept working in film throughout the early 2000s, starring in the comedy "The One & Only" (2003) with Patsy Kensit-Healy. His work around this time also included a part on the TV movie "Riverworld" (Syfy, 2002-03). He also worked in television during these years, including a part on "The American Embassy" (Fox, 2001-02). Recently, he tackled roles on "Rizzoli & Isles" (2009-16), "The Exes" (TV Land, 2011-15) and "Doll & Em" (HBO, 2013-15). Cake most recently appeared on "A Woman Like Me" (2015). Cake was married to Julianne Nicholson.
