Robert Wightman

Robert Wightman was an accomplished actor who led an impressive career, primarily on the big screen. Wightman worked on a variety of projects during his early entertainment career, including"Amazing Grace" with Moms Mabley (1974), "American Gigolo" with Richard Gere (1980) and "Parades" with Russ Thacker (1972). He also contributed to "The Owl and the Pussycat" (1970) and "The Waltons" (CBS, 1972-1981). He also landed a role in the miniseries "On Wings of Eagles" (1985-86). During these years, he also worked in film, earning a part in the horror feature "Impulse" (1984) with Tim Matheson. He also starred in the TV movies "A Day For Thanks on Walton's Mountain" (NBC, 1982-83) and "Missing Children: A Mother's Story" (CBS, 1982-83). Wightman focused on film in more recent years, appearing in the Tom Skerritt action film "Opposing Force" (1986) and the comedy "Living in Oblivion" (1995) with Steve Buscemi. He also was featured in the TV movie "Stepfather III" (HBO, 1991-92). Wightman most recently acted in "Box of Moonlight" (1997) with John Turturro.
