Zelda Harris

Self-assured juvenile player of film and TV who caught the attention of critics with her central performance in Spike Lee's "Crooklyn" (1994). Harris began appearing in commercials while still an infant. From there she became a regular on the celebrated children's series "Sesame Street." Her naturalistic talents made her an appealing choice for the role of Troy, the only daughter amidst a swarm of boys, in Lee's loosely autobiographical film. She was next seen as a member of "The Baby-sitter's Club" (1995), Melanie Mayron's adaptation of the popular novels.
