Political satire about an American senator who tires of playing the game and gives up standard campaign rhetoric in favour of brutal honesty. Spiritually sickened by all the lies he peddles in his crowd-pleasing efforts, the senator arranges his own assassination, but his impending death seems to grant him a new sense of freedom, and he begins to speak his mind, regardless of the consequences.
