Pinero

The story of Miguel Piñero, playwright and larger-than-life figure in the 1970s New York art scene. Piñero rose to fame with a Tony Award-winning play he penned while serving time in 'Sing Sing'. He was feted on release, but fame unsettled him and despite the efforts of his girlfriend he turned to drugs - only to die in 1988, aged 42.
