Russian sociologists Maxim and Samer go to Libya, where military operations are taking place. They find some information which compromises to the local government. The specialists go to prison, where they experience numerous torture and humiliations. After a year of unsuccessful attempts to solve the issue peacefully, Russian authorities are preparing a rescue operation for their citizens.
