Based on the true story of the 1789 mutiny in the South Seas led by first mate Fletcher Christian against the tyrannical Captain Bligh. The Bounty docks at Tahiti, where the crew settle in to the idyllic island paradise, but on the return voyage, Bligh's cruelty forces the hand of Christian and his fellow mutineers, and the captain and those loyal to him are set adrift in an open boat.
