Margaret Hall is the wife of a US Navy officer away on duty and mother of three children. In control of her life and household, the one thing she can't control is her eldest son Beau, who haunts disreputable bars in Reno and has taken up with older man Darby. When she discovers Darby's dead body near their house, she knows what has happened and what has to be done. Disposing of the body, she hopes to end the matter.
