Joy heads off to Las Vegas to cheer herself up after being very publicly dumped by her boyfriend. Fate leads her to meet slacker Jack and the new friends soon enjoy a boozy evening. Later, and by now rather drunk, they end up getting hitched. When Jack wins a huge amount of money after putting one of Joy's coins in a slot machine, their squabble over the money leads to a judge freezing their assets.
