George Civeris
George Civeris is—thrillingly—a comedian and writer based in Brooklyn. George was recently chosen as a New Face of Comedy at the Just for Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal. Before that, he won MoveOn.org's nationwide "Laughter Trumps Hate" contest, which was judged by a panel that included Judd Apatow, Adam McKay, and Baratunde Thurston. He has performed at the Bridgetown Comedy Festival, the Boston Comedy Festival, the Limestone Comedy Festival (where he opened for SNL's Colin Quinn), the Out of Bounds Comedy Festival, and—against all odds—the Women in Comedy Festival. He co-hosts Living For It, a monthly comedy show at the Living Gallery in Bushwick. Before moving to New York, he co-produced an award-winning weekly alternative comedy showcase in Boston called the Mendoza Line.
