Jesus Ochoa

Mexican actor Jesús Ochoa got his start performing in theater productions in his hometown of Hermosillo. He left for Mexico City in 1979 to study acting at university, where he continued performing in university plays. When he completed his studies, he returned to Hermosillo, where he performed in more theater productions and appeared on TV for the first time in commercials. He made his television acting debut in 1992 in the family series "Ángeles sin paraíso." His film debut came two years later when he appeared in the romantic drama "La orilla de la tierra." The next year was a very busy one for the actor, with him appearing in seven different productions, including the films "Desierto mares" and "Dos crímenes," and the TV drama "Retrato de familia," which saw him in his first recurring role. In 1996, he had another recurring role in the romantic drama series "Marisol." After years establishing himself in Mexican films, he began to appear in English language films in the early 2000s, while still carrying on his busy pace in Mexican productions. In 2004, he had eight roles, among which was an appearance in the crime drama "Man on Fire," which starred Denzel Washington and Christopher Walken. Other English language films he has appeared in include the 2008 comedy "Beverly Hills Chihuahua," in which he played a police officer, the James Bond picture "Quantum of Solace," also in 2008, and in 2011, "How I Spent My Summer Vacation," which starred Mel Gibson.
