Rita Taggart

Rita Taggart has built an incredible presence on the big screen throughout her acting career. Taggart began her acting career with roles in such films as the Jane Fonda drama "Coming Home" (1978), "Straight Time" (1978) and "The China Syndrome" (1979) with Jane Fonda. She also appeared in the action movie "1941" (1979) with Dan Aykroyd, the comedy "Die Laughing" (1980) with Robby Benson and the comedy "Used Cars" (1980) with Kurt Russell. Her film career continued throughout the eighties in productions like "Torchlight" (1984) with Pamela Sue Martin and "Weeds" (1987). Her work around this time also included a part on the TV movie "The Other Victim" (CBS, 1981-82). She also appeared in the TV special "Miss Lonelyhearts" (PBS, 1982-83). During the latter part of her career, she continued to act in "The Horror Show" (1989), the Alan Arkin comedic drama "Coupe de Ville" (1990) and the dramatic comedy "Crossing the Bridge" (1992) with Josh Charles. She also appeared in "At Home With the Webbers" (1993) and the comedy "Steal Big, Steal Little" (1995) with Andy Garcia. Taggart most recently acted in the Edward James Olmos drama "Go For Sisters" (2013).
